The Northern Virginia Holiday Party Photo Booth Guide: Old Town to Tysons

Northern Virginia runs two holiday seasons at once. There is the Metro side, where Arlington and Old Town Alexandria parties fill restaurants and hotel rooms that guests walk to, and there is the campus side, where Tysons and Reston host parties inside the same buildings people work in. The two need different photo booth plans, and most planning advice treats them as one market. This guide separates them.

We are a photo booth company based in Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia sits inside our standard service radius: Arlington, Alexandria, McLean, Tysons, Falls Church, Fairfax, and Reston are all regular stops. Here is where NoVA holiday parties actually happen, what each venue type will ask you for, what it costs, and why the December calendar is being settled in August.

The two Northern Virginias, and why it changes your booth plan

Arlington and Old Town run like the District. Clarendon and Rosslyn hotels, National Landing event spaces, and the restaurant rooms along King Street take the corporate dinners and the association parties. Guests arrive by Metro or rideshare in a steady stream, the rooms are tighter, and the party builds gradually. A booth in these rooms earns its keep across the whole evening, so a three or four hour window makes sense.

Tysons and Reston are a different production. The party is often in the office itself, a lobby, an atrium, a top-floor conference center, or in a hotel attached to a corporate campus. Guests arrive by car, which means they arrive together, and the first hour is the whole game. Reston Town Center restaurants and the Tysons hotels see the same pattern. Here the booth should open with the doors, because the line forms early and the room thins out sooner than a downtown party would.

Neither plan is better. They are different rooms with different clocks, and the hours you book should follow the clock your venue runs on.

The logistics questions your venue will ask

Our booth needs an 8 by 10 foot footprint, 9 feet of ceiling, and one standard outlet. Setup takes about 90 minutes and finishes before guests arrive.

Hotels in Arlington, Old Town, and Tysons will ask for a certificate of insurance naming the property. We carry $1M in coverage and turn the COI around the same week. Old Town’s historic rooms add one wrinkle: load-ins can run through narrow doors or up a flight of stairs, so tell us early and we plan the extra time without touching your schedule.

Office buildings ask the most questions, and Tysons towers ask them earliest. Badge access for our staff, a freight elevator reservation, a loading dock window, and a COI that sometimes names both the building and your company. None of it is hard. All of it moves slower than the rest of your planning, so it belongs in the first email, not the last one.

One placement rule outweighs everything else. Put the booth where guests already walk, near the bar or the entry. A booth in a hallway corner photographs the catering staff.

What your team keeps after the party

The party is one night. The photos keep working after it.

Every setup includes a custom overlay designed for your event, so every print and every share carries your logo, your event name, and your colors. Guests get their images on their phones in seconds. Prints matter more at holiday parties than at any other event we serve. People take a strip, come back with a different group, and the strips sit on desks in Tysons and Rosslyn well into spring with your event name on them. What it costs in 2026

Our pricing is public, and it applies across Northern Virginia inside our standard radius.

Flash and Go is $995 for two hours, sized for a compact office party or a reception window. Vogue Mode is $1,245 for three hours and covers most cocktail formats. The Full Exposure is $1,895 for four hours and includes unlimited on-site prints, which is where most company holiday parties land. The Full Collection is $2,950 for four hours for teams that want the complete setup. Additional hours run $200 to $250 depending on the package, and a guest scrapbook, where attendees leave a print and a note for the host, is $225.

Two planning notes. A Peak Premium of $250 applies to Friday and Saturday dates in December. Venues past our standard radius, out toward Leesburg or Manassas, are quoted with travel stated plainly up front.

December is being decided before Labor Day

Here is the math that surprises people in August. Between December 1 and the week offices empty out there are roughly twelve viable weekday evenings and four Fridays, and every company, association, and nonprofit in the region is aiming at the same short list. Northern Virginia has its own pressure point: the Tysons and Reston venues share their calendars with conference season, so the good rooms and the good dates disappear on the same call.

Through September 7 we are waiving the $250 December Peak Premium for contracts signed in that window. If your date is even provisionally set, check your date now and see where the calendar stands. Booking the vendor list in August is what lets you spend October on the menu instead of the entertainment.

What to send for a real number

We can quote most Northern Virginia holiday parties from one paragraph. Send the date, the venue or building address, the hours you want the booth live, the expected headcount, and whether you want prints.
